Introduction of the National Architecture Institute of China
The National Architecture Institute of China (NAIC) is a national organization approved by the Ministry of Construction and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs on October 25, 1995.
The Institute’s mission is that to facilitate, inherit and protect the Chinese architectural culture is the great task and responsibility of NAIC. NAIC is committed to enhancing the scientific and technological levels of the Chinese national architecture and raising protection and utilization levels of traditional architecture. It promotes the unique feature and diversity, mutual influence, mutual combination of vernacular architecture culture to make the treasure sustainable in the modern society.
The advantage of the institute is that it organizes groups of experts, teachers and professional engineers from government, research institutes, universities and companies. NAIC is devoted to provide consulting services including research subjects, planning and design and repairing projects.
The Institute consists of individual and corporate members. Individual members include experts, scholars and technicians. Corporate members are mainly organizations engaged in architecture research, design, protection, construction, education and management.
The National Architecture Institute of China hopes to establish cooperation with organizations and institutions at home and abroad to exchange and explore the issues on protection and development of national architecture. The Institute warmly welcomes more individuals and institutions to join the National Architecture Institute of China to salvage and protect traditional architecture to make great contributions to the development of the Chinese national architecture.
