Introduction of the National Architecture Institute of China
The National Architecture Institute of China (NAIC) is a national organization approved by the Ministry of Construction and the State Ethnic Affairs Commission, registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs on October 25, 1995.

The Institute’s mission is that to facilitate, inherit and protect the Chinese architectural culture is the great task and responsibility of NAIC.? NAIC is committed to enhancing the scientific and technological levels of the Chinese national architecture and raising protection and utilization levels of traditional architecture.? It promotes the unique feature and diversity, mutual influence, mutual combination of vernacular architecture culture to make the treasure sustainable in the modern society.

The advantage of the institute is that it organizes groups of experts, teachers and professional engineers from government, research institutes, universities and companies. NAIC is devoted to provide consulting services including research subjects, planning and design and repairing projects.

The Institute consists of individual and corporate members. Individual members include experts, scholars and technicians. Corporate members are mainly organizations engaged in architecture research, design, protection, construction, education and management.

The National Architecture Institute of China hopes to establish cooperation with organizations and institutions at home and abroad to exchange and explore the issues on protection and development of national architecture.? The Institute warmly welcomes more individuals and institutions to join the National Architecture Institute of China to salvage and protect traditional architecture to make great contributions to the development of the Chinese national architecture.

Publishes the latest information on policies, regulations, and academic and business activities in both China and abroad. Inquiries can be made here and ideas posted on the website.

• Periodical publication

Disseminates the latest policies and legislation related to national architecture, the related academic situation and research achievements and studies about architectural science and technology. Members receive a complimentary publication. Other academic papers, books, training materials and audiovisual publications will be compiled and published.

• Academic exchange

The institute holds international conferences, and seminars. Explore and study important and difficult issues on the profession. The experts will be organized to apply for research subjects and accomplish them.

• Professional training

Different kinds of courses for managers and engineers will be held to meet the needs of the development of national architecture.

• Professional appraisal

Competitive activities and appraisal will be conducted for organizations and engineers engaged in national architecture.

• Exhibitions

Exhibitions will be designed and organized in order to promote the exchange of ideas on Chinese and foreign architecture.
